How well put Anya, and great quote to reference. I know the decision paralysis well, one thing that helped me with it was when my boss taught me this: pick whichever one would make future me happiest, and if something happens along the way (you obtain info that makes you change your mind, you have a change of heart, etc.), then change course. Life is too short to watch the figs rot on the ground 😊 so, what would make future you happiest right now?
This really resonates, sometimes I'm buzzing with so much creative energy but don't know where to start or what medium to choose - frustrating but a wonderful feeling none the less.
This really resonates with me. Spring always seems to spark this wired, buzzing energy in me. I’m full of ideas and plans but often feel like I’m chasing my own thoughts. I’ve been spending more time in the garden or out walking, just trying to ground myself and slow it all down a little. There’s so much promise in the air, and while it’s exciting, it can definitely feel a bit overwhelming too!
A great read, also very much feeling like I’m at the base of the fig tree! I think turning 30 and feeling the feeling the pressure of ‘should’ feels louder than ever. So loved reading this and reminding myself the options are ours for the taking ♥️
I wrote in my journal recently: 'I just need to begin' (I know, easier said than done and the moment I force it, I personally stall). But what joy must it also be to know there are so many ideas bubbling! I think it is okay to sit with the figs for a while - to be still - and let the one that matches your energy now make itself known… maybe even let another one join later. How are you doing now? :)
And wow, so relatable: 'The explore page on Instagram is my nemesis for this goal.' Same here! I had to delete the app from my phone. I really wish there was a version without that explore page.
Just read this Anya - love the quote and can relate so so much! It feels like a blessing and curse that so many figs seem within reach! You have so many talents to choose from which is what makes it hard 💚
Hard relate to all of this. So interesting that the spring energy seems to create this buzzing sense of creativity and endless ideas. I’m also trying to figure out which fig(s) to go after. See also trying to make a decision between the scary figs or the ‘should’ figs.

That’s a great way of thinking about it, I think creating a short film is what future me would be happiest with!

Oh my, so accurate! I was just reflecting on this Sylvia Plath piece recently myself and and feeling so many of these same feelings in my own life. ❤️
Lovely post! Thank you for sharing! I thought I'd share a post I uploaded recently that is in some ways similar to yours ☺️
